Joyce Enzor Maust
Joyce Maust (jem Poetry) is a Delaware poet, literary curator, and public humanities artist whose work explores memory, landscape, belonging, and the ways personal experience connects us to one another. She serves as Poet Laureate of the Delaware House of Representatives and received a 2024 Delaware Division of the Arts Individual Fellowship in Poetry.
Her poetry has appeared in numerous literary magazines, and she has been a featured and invited reader at museums, literary gatherings, community arts venues, and civic events throughout Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.
Maust’s creative practice extends beyond the page, bringing poetry into conversation with photography, visual art, place, history, and community. As a literary curator, she develops interdisciplinary gatherings that bring together writers across generations, cultures, traditions, and lived experiences. Her projects have included the Mountian Voices Poetry Reading and the America 250 Poetry Celebration and Literary Cafe at the Biggs Museum of American Art, Poetic Voices of Lineage at the Delaware Contemporary, and Mountain Voices: A Front Porch Gathering at the Delaware Agricultural Museum.
Whether Maust writes a poem, photographs the natural world, or creates a space for others to tell their stories, she roots her work in close attention to landscape, memory, overlooked voices, and the small details that reveal larger human stories.
